Measure Your Golden
We ask for current weight and body measurements rather than typical breed averages.
UniPetrans helps plan your Golden Retriever’s international move, coordinating kennel assessment, accompanied flight arrangements and travel documents.
For many Golden owners, family life comes with an enthusiastic greeting and a dog who wants to join in. When the family moves overseas, their companion needs a carefully prepared journey too.

For a large dog, choosing the route and choosing the kennel are connected decisions. We review both at the start.
We ask for current weight and body measurements rather than typical breed averages.
We assess dimensions, empty weight and suitability for the proposed journey.
We consider the operating flights and connections, including any smaller aircraft on the route.
We help organise documents, accompaniment and the agreed airport arrangements.
We clarify collection at destination and any onward transport included in the service.
For an adult Golden Retriever, our assessment will generally focus on accompanied hold travel where available. The dog’s body weight is only part of the practical picture: the kennel adds weight and takes up space that must be accepted on the itinerary.
A flight that works for the passenger may not work for the kennel. That is why we recommend reviewing the complete journey before committing to tickets or purchasing a crate based only on a breed label.
With AVIH, your Golden travels in the aircraft hold as accompanied baggage while the owner or accompanying specialist is on the same flight. That person cannot remain beside the dog in flight. UniPetrans does not offer manifest-cargo transport.

Tell us about the Golden you live with: sociable and eager to greet everyone, more reserved in new places, or somewhere in between. A friendly nature does not tell us how a dog will feel at an airport. Make kennel familiarisation part of the preparation timetable. We also need to understand the ground journey: getting a large kennel to the departure airport and collecting it on arrival should be planned before travel day.
International pet travel preparation · Measure your dog for an airline kennel
The proposed flight arrangement reflects the dog and kennel together.
Documentation and practical airport preparation are considered alongside the itinerary.
Airport handover and final-address delivery are distinguished in your quotation.
An adult Golden will generally be too large for a standard under-seat pet arrangement. We do not market cabin travel for adult Goldens or suggest that buying another seat automatically creates that option.
No. AVIH as accompanied baggage and manifest cargo are different arrangements. UniPetrans assesses accompanied options; availability must be established for the actual itinerary.
Yes. Both are relevant to assessing the journey. Send the empty kennel weight, dimensions and your dog’s current weight if you already have them.
We can assess a dedicated specialist travelling on the same flight as your dog, subject to airline and destination requirements. This does not provide access to the dog during the flight.
Tell us the final address or city when enquiring. We will clarify whether onward transport can be included and identify the agreed handover point in the quotation.
Send us the route, dates, your Golden’s measurements and any kennel details. Include collection and final-destination needs so we can assess the complete journey.
